The HWI Human Rights Internship program is geared towards offering anyone desirous to become rights activist worldwide hands-on experience on human rights campaigns  in Ghana, West Africa.

You would have the opportunity to under-study human rights campaigners. 

As an international intern, you not only gain valuable experience,
you are also open to many possibilities. You learn about other cultures.
This ultimately enriches your resume/CV and sets you apart from your
peers in the job market.

Language

Applicants must be able to speak and write basic English as this is the medium of communication in our program centers.

Cost of program

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to raise the required amount to take care of their travel and hosting expenses. Fundraising guides are available should you not be able to raise all the money yourself.

Nationality

The best thing about HWI is that, we accept applications from all people in all parts of the world. Our current and past interns come from different continents; different countries; different nationalities.

Why pay to intern?

Humanity World International (HWI) is a service based non-profit volunteer organization and as such interns pay fees to guarantee a truly fulfilled trip. The money goes to providing you essential services; providing you a carefully selected worthwhile placement prior to your arrival; and providing you support services while serving on any of our programs in Ghana, Africa.

We are headquartered on the project field in Ghana, West Africa thereby guaranteeing you a truly fulfilled trip

7:00

Usually by 7 am, interns take their breakfast and are ready to get to work.

8:30

Between 8:30 am and 9 am, interns arrive at work to begin work for the day.

13:00

Usually by 1 pm, interns take their lunch break. This can last between 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on an intern's work schedule.

14:00

By 2 pm, interns usually return to work to continue the day's work.

17:00

The day's work usually comes to a close by 5 pm. This depends on an intern's work schedule.

17:30

By 5:30 pm, interns usually return home. Interns then relax and take their dinner. Depending on the day and the intensity of the next day's work, interns usually spend part of the night in a pub where they have a drink or socialize with other interns.
